About Two Trees

Janny McKinnon lives and works in lutrawita, Tasmania, and feels a deep love for the land she calls home. Over the past twenty years she has practiced, trained in a taught yoga and yoga therapy. She is now dedicating this space to working with ancestral healing and exploring the sacred Earth based practices of her lineages.

Alongside Two Trees Ritual Healing, Janny is also a jeweller (The Forest Adorned) and has a passion for photography as a practice of seeing and freely sharing the beauty that is all around us.

For a tree to grow strong it grows in two directions equally: upward and toward the light; downward and deep into the dark. Similarly, to become whole, we must first learn to see in the dark. Much of our life takes place in the unseen realms, realms which are often pushed deep in the unconscious mind and held in the body and mind as tension, pain, fears and imbalance. The process of healing is one of re-connection, of bringing light to dark places, and of transforming that which is exiled or hidden. Through this process, we can take root in the whole of who we truly are, and from this grow into our full potential.
